Reading & Citing Papers
Every paper has a detail page at /research/<slug> with the abstract, authors,
category, citation count and an inline reader.
The inline reader
How a paper is shown depends on its source:
- Uploaded files (our
resolveURL) and direct.pdf/.txtlinks render inline in the reader — expand it to full width with the maximise control. - Other external links (e.g. an arXiv abstract page, which blocks embedding) show an Open in new tab card instead of an inline view.
Download the source
For inline-readable papers, use the download control in the reader toolbar, or fetch it directly:
# $API = https://api.chaimind.in (or your local backend)
curl -L "$API/api/v1/research/<slug>/resolve/<filename>" -o paper.pdf
-L follows the redirect to the stored bytes. Public papers need no auth.
Read the metadata via the API
curl "$API/api/v1/research/<slug>"
Returns the paper's title, authors, abstract, category, citation count and source URL.
Citations
Each card and paper page shows a citations count so you can gauge a paper's reach at a glance.
