Import from GitHub
Already have an agent on GitHub? Import it instead of re-creating it by hand. Open Agents → Import from GitHub.
It's a three-step wizard:
1. Connect GitHub
Authorize ChipAI.dev to read your repositories — read access plus permission to import files, the README, and mirror the repo into ChipAI.dev git storage.
You must be signed in to ChipAI.dev before connecting.
2. Pick a repository
Search your repositories and select one. The list shows visibility, primary language, stars and default branch.
3. Configure the agent
ChipAI.dev pre-fills the details from the repo — adjust the name, slug, summary, category and tags as needed, then import.
What happens on import
- An agent record is created.
- The repo's files are mirrored into ChipAI.dev git storage when possible; otherwise they sync on first access.
- You're taken to the new agent at
/agents/<slug>.
From there, manage it like any other agent. See Creating Agents & Tools for the manual flow and the other types.
